Eunho from YOUNITE faced a really uncomfortable situation while in Brazil for a performance, and it sparked a ton of outrage among fans everywhere.

On August 17, right after they finished their set at the Korea Culture Day festival in São Paulo, a fan crossed the line and kissed him on the cheek without warning.
Security didn’t have time to step in. Also, everyone could totally see how shocked he was as he quickly pushed her away.
Additionally, there were fans who caught it on camera. They shared their reactions online, and the videos went viral.
People are rightfully upset about how the incident highlights a serious lack of protection for artists.

What Is YOUNITE’s Agency Saying?
Brand New Music, the agency for YOUNITE, shared an important update on August 23.
They said, “During a recent performance, an artist was put in danger because a fan made excessive contact.”
The agency asked fans to help by being more considerate and prioritizing artists’ safety and the well-being of the fan community.
This incident led to many Brazilian fans apologizing on social media. They expressed their regret and said they hoped this situation would not change YOUNITE’s view of Brazil.
Also, there were some other comments. One said, “As a Brazilian fan, I sincerely apologize on behalf of our community.”
The verdict continued with“We hope this will not impact your visits to Brazil in the future.”
They reported that some fans were too aggressive, which created safety risks for the artist and other fans at the venue.
The agency asked fans to keep a safe distance during events and promised to focus on Eunho’s safety.
Eunho then gave an official statement on a fan communication platform, saying, “I avoided it thanks to my incredible reflexes,” to ease their concerns.

When I see this news, there are only a few things that cross my mind. I wonder how sexual harassment is growing so much.
And the worst part? Every day, thousands of people spread awareness against this treachery.
Also, the fact that a woman did this scares the living shit out of me. This spreads so many wrong messages all at once.
I remember that I wrote an article on Moon-tae, a few days ago, who raped a foreign woman and finally got a lenient punishment.
But, when I see this news, where a woman is no longer the prey always, and sometimes a goddam predator herself, I wonder how the Community of sexual harassers takes this. Scary.
I am a Kpop fan. I am a woman, and I am also a feminist. So my being rejects such news, and I am sure most of you out there feel the very same.
