The crime? Well, it’s not that serious, I suppose, considering the punishment granted to him after tremendous speculations.
Our pretty boy just gangraped a Chinese female tourist, who was intoxicated. Well, my job is to keep my personal feelings at bay and inform you guys about what’s actually gone down.

The Actual News: Moon Tae-il Gets 3.5 Years Of Jailtime
South Korean singer Moon Tae-il, who used to be in the K-pop band NCT, has been sentenced to three years and six months in prison for rape.
Taeil, 31, and two accomplices, identified only as Lee and Hong, admitted in June to taking turns assaulting their victim, a Chinese tourist.
A district judge in Seoul called the crime “extremely grave,” but gave them only half of the seven-year sentence that prosecutors requested, noting that they were first-time offenders.
The court also ordered the three men to complete 40 hours of a treatment program for sexual violence offenders.
The court heard that they met their victim at a bar in the Itaewon district of Seoul. She became “heavily intoxicated” after drinking with them.
They then took a taxi to Lee’s house, where the assault occurred. South Korean law classifies this type of rape as “aggravated” because it was a group attack and as “quasi rape” because the victim was unconscious.
Taeil, whose real name is Moon Tae-il, left NCT in August last year when allegations first came out, even though the details of the crime were not publicly known at that time.
NCT, formed in January 2016, is known for its diverse music styles and has gained international attention, with some of its songs appearing on Billboard charts.
Further Speculations On The Moon Tae-il Case
There are also many more news stories surrounding this topic. Let’s take a quick sneak peek.
Mandatory 40-hour Program By Court
The court has sentenced Taeil (31) to prison and added some conditions. He must complete a 40-hour program for sexual violence treatment.
His personal information will be made public, and he cannot work in places related to children and youth for five years. These penalties were announced after his sentencing on July 10.
Moon Tae-Il’s Final Statement: ‘ I am deeply sorry…’
Taeil’s legal team expressed their regret about the incident. They noted that he has been involved in educational programs and counseling since then.
Taeil’s mother also had to quit her job due to family difficulties, leaving him to support the family by working part-time at a friend’s restaurant.
In his final statement to the court, Taeil expressed his “deeply sorry” and stated that he would view any leniency as a last chance to make a positive contribution to society.
My Takeaway
“Deeply Sorry”? Seriously guys? I have been an NCTzen for about the last 6 years, and guess who was my Bias?
When this news came out, I was absolutely furious. However, I still decided to wait as the investigation continued.
We all have seen such instances where our idols are speculated about without any reason.
Additionally, 3.05 years seems a mockery at the face of the growing concern regarding women safety and the unfortunate uprise of the Rape allegations all over the world.
When will this mockery stop? When will these social basters leave for good? Don’t get me wrong, my objective is not to get a worse punishment
Because I believe some crimes can never be justified with any form of punishment. However, this is a joke.
Hope you all are waiting for any further news. I will keep my hands glued to the keyboard and eyes glued to the screen.
Until then, share your feedback on this in the comments below.
