So, out of this sheer guilt and a little curiosity, I surveyed the contemporary market. I saw that this trend is on its way to dying down. And boy was I surprised!
Blokecore is a fashion style that has grown from a small subculture to a popular global trend. It amalgamates fashion with sentiments, which is the primary cause behind my surprise.
However, recent data shows that interest in blokecore is slowing down, while styles like Boho Chic are becoming more popular.
What are the key factors that led to this decline? Key factors include Gen Z’s influence, viral trends on TikTok, and brand partnerships.
Data from Google Trends shows a rise in interest for blokecore terms, peaking in August 2024 with searches for football jerseys reaching 93, but this interest declines by early 2025.
Well, in my personal opinion, I want this and all my favorite trends to stay and rule. But what I am more concerned about is people’s take on sports and sentiment.
You see, fashion for me is not at all about what is trending, but rather what is timeless. And what truly is timeless is how people and their culture are mixed with fashion trends.
