Well well. It seems like another duel is here. The last time I did such a review, I compared two snail mucin serums: The Skin Harmony vs The Quench Botanics boost serum.

However, this one is a bit different. I am going to present a comparison between two brightening face serums from two distinct and reputable brands, Pilgrim VS Deconstruct. Excited? Well, I am sure your skin is.

Pilgrim vs. Deconstruct: Which Brightening Serum Does Your Skin Need?

Pilgrim vs. Deconstruct_ Which Brightening Serum Does Your Skin Need_

When I was researching different Korean skin brightening serums that would suit the Indian skin, these two really surprised me.

I had known about the Pilgrim Korean 2% Alpha Arbutin & 3% Vitamin C Brightening Face Serum, and most of my female friends use it daily, and they give it a big thumbs up.

But I needed to try both of these myself, so I got my hands on them without wasting any time.

Turns out, both these serums have similar ingredients, and also solve a lot of similar skin issues.

But the million-dollar question is, are they both equally suitable for your skin? Will they both equally benefit your skin? Let’s find out, shall we?

Alpha Arbutin, Vitamin C, Blueberry extract

Alpha Arbutin is a strong ingredient that brightens skin. It helps me lighten and improve my skin tone for a glowing, even look.

Another thing about the serum, which made me buy a second bottle, is that it boosts radiance and helps prevent early signs of aging, well, thanks to the Vitamin C.

If this wasn’t enough, this serum has Blueberry extract! I guess we adult women love berries because of their rich antioxidants.

Thanks to these, this scrum can fight fine lines and wrinkles, which I am ‘berry’ grateful for. Sorry, not sorry!

Also, both Alpha Arbutin and Vitamin C work for all skin types, including mine.

What Are The Benefits Of Pilgrim Korean 2% Alpha Arbutin And 3% Vitamin C Brightening Face Serum?

Before I dive into the benefits, I will mention that I have used this product for a month before I started writing this review.

However, I also spoke to my female friends who use it regularly. Having said that, these benefits will also include their version.

  • This serum absorbs rapidly into my skin, providing instant brightness. With its unique blend of Alpha Arbutin, Vitamin C, and Blueberry, it helps promote an even skin tone.
  • Alpha Arbutin works to fade areas of hyperpigmentation, diminish the appearance of dark spots, and refine my complexion.
  • Vitamin C acts as a powerful antioxidant, combating damage-causing free radicals and keeping my skin healthy by preventing age spots and sun spots.
  • The blueberry extracts nourish my skin, helping to keep the signs of aging at bay and strengthening my skin’s natural defense barrier.
  • The lightweight formula gives me a comfortable, satiny finish. I truly enjoy the unmatched daily brightness and radiance it provides!

Before I start gushing about this sooner, I would definitely say that I wish I had started using this sooner.

I had Niacinamide Serum in my skincare routine, but this one? Oh my god! Like, I am not exaggerating even a bit!

Deconstruct Brightening Serum has an additional ingredient, which, in simple terms, is the Marshmallow root extract, which adds rich hydration.

When I say this, I mean that Niacinamide serums aren’t generally this hydrating. But when I apply this serum at night, even if I don’t follow up with a moisturizer, it doesn’t matter!

What Are The Benefits Of Deconstruct Brightening Serum with 10% Niacinamide Serum with 0.3% Alpha Arbutin?

Honest, this serum has a lot of skin benefits, but I’m just going to add in the super important ones.

Also, I want to add that I have combination and sensitive skin, which is the most dangerous skin type to have, followed by dry skin.

But this serum suited me perfectly, as it claims to be suitable for all skin types.  Let’s check all the major benefits this serum provides:

  • This serum helps fade away dark spots ike magic. The Niacinamide present in this serum reduces pores and also improves skin texture.
  • It is immensely hydrating. The serum, as mentioned, has Mrashmallow extract, which is generally not present in most Niacinamide or skin brightening serums.

So, when you use this serum regularly, it will even out your skin tone and give it a glowing look.

  • This serum is great for fixing discoloration and uneven skin tone.
  • It works for all skin types and absorbs quickly without clogging pores. Its light formula provides long-lasting moisture and hydration without causing irritation or breakouts.

Yes! We can definitely use the Pilgrim Korean Brightening Face Serum and the Deconstruct Brightening Serum both.

But, as you saw coming, there is a catch. In the differences section, I mentioned something about these two serums having a particular time to use.

You can use the Pilgrim Korean 2% Alpha Arbutin & 3% Vitamin C Brightening Face Serum during the day.

On the other hand, you can use the Deconstruct Brightening Serum during your nighttime skincare routine.

Why? There is a skincare science behind it. Vitamin C serums are also called “glow-getter” serums. Which means they give you an instant boost of fresh, dewy glow.

This is why you are generally supposed to use a Vitamin C serum during the day, and top it off with a good sunscreen for added protection.

Now, coming to Niacinamide serums. Niacinamide is known for giving long-term results, such as improving texture, barrier protection, and reducing pigmentation.
