Amidst all the glitters and buzz of the glamour world, we have yet another idol/actor who is out there to serve his country.

Yes, you guessed it right. I am talking about the Cha Eun-Woo military enlistment. K-pop star Cha Eun-Woo from ASTRO has started his military service.

He took a break from work and had a heartfelt farewell with his friends and fans, AROHA.

Before he enlisted, he connected with fans through a YouTube livestream. This made everyone emotional.

He got into the Korea Army Training Center in Nonsan, Chungcheongnam-do, on July 28.

After basic training, he will serve in the military band unit. He is scheduled to be discharged in January 2027.

Despite all the emotional outbursts of fans, on July 29, Fantagio, the agency, released an official statement on ASTRO’s fan café.

Furthermore, they shared guidelines asking fans for understanding and cooperation.

They also requested that fans send any messages or gifts for Eun-Woo to the company instead.

Why Is Cha Eun Woo’s Agency Stopping Fan Mail And Gifts From Reaching The Star At His Military Base?

Cha Eun-Woo military enlistment began on July 28 and will join the ROK military band after two weeks of basic training.

He will be away for 18 months and will mostly stay out of the public eye, though he might appear at some military events where fans hope to see him.

During his service, he will have little contact with family, friends, and fans who will miss him. His management has advised fans not to send letters or packages.

A notice from Cha Eun Woo’s agency, Fantagio, addressed to his fans, Aroha, discussed sending mail to him while he is in the military.

The agency understands that fans want to show their support, but they warned that sending many letters or gifts could disrupt his time in the military.

During the delivery, many such items get lost, so they kindly ask fans not to send anything.

The agency does not want to risk Cha Eun Woo’s safety. If necessary, they might stop accepting mail altogether and dispose of any items sent to them.

They also mentioned that on his birthday next year and his debut anniversary, they will not be able to receive or open gifts.

Fans should not send anything on those days either. Instead, they should send any mail or items to the agency headquarters.

If everything goes as planned, Cha Eun Woo will be discharged from military service on January 27, 2027
